Professor Naila Azam is an MBBS graduate of Army Medical College and qualified MCPS Family Medicine as well as FCPS Community Medicine. She carries a vast and varied experience of 33 years in primary health care service delivery, hospital management, planning and teaching in military medical services and training institutions.

Besides passionately teaching public health practice, research and core subjects of epidemiology, demography and biostatistics to post graduate students of MPH, FCPS Community Medicine , MSc field epidemiology lab training program and Masters in Medical Administration, she has assumed the mission to transform undergraduate teaching of Community Medicine as the basis of grooming future health system physician resource into astute primary care physicians strengthening primary healthcare system of country as their foremost responsibility.

She is an avid reader and keen researcher. She has multiple community and hospital based research projects with national and International publications to her credit.
Regularly supervises post graduate public health trainees in FCPS,MCPS,MPH , FELTP , MSc Medical Administration training programs.
